My earliest memory is appearing as a young dancer from the Sheila Groom School of dance at the age of 3, a sea of faces and bright lights, crowded dressing rooms and lots of helpful mums applying makeup to little girls' faces.
When I was 22 I joined Wolverhampton Musical Comedy company and was thrilled to dance in the musical 'Irene', under the directionof Hazel Lee. it was a magical experience and left me with a passion for the theatre, something i have never forgotten. Soon after, the Grand Theatre closed, it was feared it would not open. My mum helped to campaign for "Save the Grand" and there was alot of fundraising, even Ken Barlow from Coronation Street lent his support..There were uncertain times but the theatre later reopened. Here we are now 30 years on, and the theatre is a hive of activity.
